An honest side-by-side. JASP is free, open source, comes out of the University of Amsterdam, and is the most credible Bayesian option available to an applied researcher who does not want to write code. Quanta is a paid Mac app built around frequentist applied work and the reporting that follows it. They overlap less than the category suggests.

If your work is Bayesian, this comparison is over and JASP wins. Bayes factors appear in Quanta next to the frequentist tests, but full Bayesian estimation is not there yet, and pretending otherwise would be exactly the kind of overclaiming this site exists to avoid. JASP is also free, from a serious methodological group, and has been APA-friendly in its output for years.
Quanta is aimed at a different day of work: a frequentist applied study, a deadline, and a manuscript that needs tables. It checks assumptions without being asked, produces an editable report rather than a results pane, publishes a validation report you can cite, and connects to the qualitative and mixed methods side of the same ecosystem. If that describes your project, Quanta will save you real hours. If it does not, JASP costs nothing and you should take it.
